Mrs. Ardella Jane Cottingham,
79, died at her home in Oakford
at 10:45 Sunday after an illness of
five weeks from complications of
age. Funeral services will be conducted
at two p.m. Wednesday
at the Fenn Funeral home, Kokomo,
with Rev. Chester Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in the
Nevada Cemetery. Friends may
call at the funeral home after two
p.m. today.
Mrs. Cottingham was born September
4, 1878 on. a farm west of
Tipton, the daughter of Enos Porter
and Amanda L (VanBuskirk) Mitchell,
She was first married to Thomas H. Harlow
on March 12, 1896. She was then married
to Joshua J. Cottingham in 1901.
Surviving in addition to her husband
are a daughter, Mrs. Mark
McElfresh, Kokomo; a son Glen,
Indianapolis; five grandchildren
and two great grandchildren. Two
brothers, Clarence of Portland,
Oregon and Clyde of Prairie, Township,
Tipton county, also survive.
One brother, Harry, preceded her in death.
