Lillian G. Bjorg, age 97, of Adams, ND, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River, ND.

Lillian G. Olson was born June 1, 1914 in Adams, ND, the daughter of the late Lars and Waletta (Bakko) Olson. She graduated from Adams High School. Their family owned and operated the General Store in Adams.

In 1933, Lillian married Henry "Hank" Bjorg in Adams where they farmed together until Henry's death in 1953. In 1956, Lillian moved to Grafton where she worked for the Deaconess Hospital as a receptionist. In 1961, she moved to Klamath Falls, OR where she worked in the office of Drs. Duane Matthews and Richard Otteman. In 1964, she moved to Santa Ana, CA where she worked as a receptionist and technical assistant to Dr. Marshall Evans. In 1967, she moved back to Grafton where she worked at the clinic until her retirement in 1987. She moved back to Adams to her original farmstead where she spent her retirement until entering the Good Samaritan Center in Park River in December, 2011.

Lillian enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, bird watching, baking, cooking and spending time with family. She was a member of the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church and WELCA. Her kindness and thoughtfulness will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons: Jan (Yvonne) Bjorg, Adams, ND; John (Teresa) Bjorg, Grand Forks, ND; nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and sisters: Gloria Canton, Aloha, OR and Helen Frederickson, Orange, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jerry, grandson James Henry Bjorg, great granddaughter Tana Bjorg, and brothers: Joseph, Fredrick, Gil, Walter, Sam and Louie and sister Josephine Boone.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at West Adams Cemetery, rural Adams, ND
