KILLED IN ACTION
SGT.-PILOT BERNARD E. SAMUELS, who has been overseas with the R.C.A.F. since November, 1941, has been listed killed in action. He was born in Montreal 23 years ago, was a graduate of the Strathcona High School, and had enlisted in the army in May, 1941. In July he was transferred to the air force and was awarded his pilot's wings at Haggersville, Ont.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Samuels of 5791 Plantagenet avenue, two brothers, Arthur and Pte. Peter Samuels of the R.C.A.S.C., and a sister, Estelle Ruth (she married Dr. Henry Irving Bolker).
