Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in the US Army, Company F, 8th US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action on August 25, 1869 at Seneca Mountain, Arizona. His citation reads "Gallantry in action". He died at Fort Grant, AZ and originally was buried at the Post Cemetery. He was later moved to Santa Fe National Cemetery.
