Herb Lombard
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. June 10 at 1283 Little John Lane in Eugene for Herb Lombard of Eugene, who died March 28 of complications related to Alzheimer's disease. He was 81.
He was born June 26, 1930, in Eugene to Herbert Lombard and Verna Skade. He and his wife, Rita, were married July 10, 1980, in Eugene.
He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in economics from the University of Oregon in 1952 and graduated from the University of Oregon Law School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1954 and was a Korean War veteran. He worked as a corporate and private attorney for more than 40 years and served as city attorney of Cottage Grove.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kurt of Gresham; four daughters, Karen Lombard, Erin Koss and Tina Guard, all of Eugene, and Kristi Lombard of Charlottesville, Va.; a sister, Marie Williams; and four grandchildren.
