Jewel E. (Beasley) McDaniel, age 88, of Alcoa, passed away with her family at her side Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at home following a lingering illness. Jewel was born February 6, 1924, in Graham County, NC. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Burnett Beasley and parents, Dillard and Maude Colvin. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" McDaniel; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and James Kirby and Michal and Bill Moody; sons and daughters-in-law, Bricky and Kathie Beasley, David and Nina Beasley, Randy and Shirley Beasley, and Tom Beasley; sisters, Betty (Blair) Underwood, JoAnn Millsaps, and Juanita (Lawson) Holloway; brothers, Casey and Larry Colvin; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to their stepfather, Bob and brother, Tom, for their tireless support and constant bedside vigil. Special thanks to the nurses of Amedisys Hospice for their kindness and care. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel with the interment to follow at Nelson Chapel Cemetery, Rev. Barry Woods and Rev.
