On July 25th 1946, Gerald married his best friend and partner in life, Copal L. (Morrow) Holwegner.
Together they raised a family of four children on a large sheep ranch on the Satus and a small farm outside of Toppenish. They then built their retirement home together in Prosser in 1994.
They spent 57 years enjoying life together.
