LUCINDA JOANNE THOMPSON JOHNSON

Lucinda Joanne Thompson Johnson, 64, returned to her Lord on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. She was born on Oct. 9, 1947 to Cecil Marcus and Velma Geneva (Barber) Thompson in Walla Walla, Washington and graduated from high school in Gonzales, California.

Lucinda received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Portland State University.
She went to work for Santa Rosa California Public Schools and then switched careers and became a TV advertising saleswoman for Cox Communications.

She was a member of the American Diabetes Association and the Garden Club. She enjoyed painting, home decorating and shopping.

Lucinda was a very giving and thoughtful person.
She had a passion for all things family related
and will be missed by all who knew her.

Lucinda is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Steve, at home; son, Matthew (Jacque) and their two sons, Nicholas and Andrew; son, Aaron (Briana) and their two sons, Camden and Holden; sister, Nora Thomas; nephews, Jon DeGroote, Jeff Thompson, Mark Thompson, Joe Thompson, Gregg Thompson, Marc Reed and Sean Reed; nieces, Jonell Blatt and Shannon Paxton; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dolores Reed; and brother, Cecil Thompson.

There was a celebration of Lucinda's life on Friday, April 13th, 2012 at the Zion Lutheran Church, 824 NE 4th Ave., Camas, WA 98607. Private vault interment was held at the Camas Cemetery. Viewing was held on Thursday, April 12th, 2012 at Brown's Funeral Home, 410 NE Garfield St., Camas, WA 98607.

Memorials in Lucinda's honor may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
