ADOLPHUS HARVEY RITES SATURDAY

A. Adolphus Harvey, 71, of Nimitz, died today at 12:15 a.m. at the Hinton Hospital where he had been a patient since suffering a heart attack Wednesday at his home.

Born October 9, 1892, in Summers County, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary Gadd Harvey and had lived all his life the county.

He was a retired Chesapeake and Ohio Railway pipefitter, retiring in 1958. The deceased attended the Primitive Baptist church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Nellie Harvey; four sons, Arvel and Lloyd Harvey of Nimitz, Clifford Harvey, Donald Harvey of Cleveland; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Brandon and Mrs. Myrtle Adkins of Hinton, Mrs. Martha Headington of Clare, Michigan; 22 grandchildren; two half brothers, Woodrow Harvey of Hinton, Youell Harvey of Titusville, Florida; six half sisters, Mrs. Nora Davis, Mrs. Irene Keffer and Mrs. Selma Martin of Hinton, Mrs. Clay Workman of Thurmond, Mrs. Myrtle Lane of White Oak, Mrs. Cassie Murphy of Ronceverte.

The funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Little Bluestone Primitive Baptist Church near Jumping Branch with Elders A. L. Neely and Owen Harvey officiating. Burial will be made in the Restwood Memorial Estates.
