Nancy was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on September 24, 1961, and grew up in Ladner B.C. She enjoyed playing softball, basketball and was a member of the Cadets for several years. She met and later married and moved up north in 1981 where they began raising their three children. In 1988, a tragic motor vehicle accident in Northern B.C. left her a paraplegic, Nancy faced this adversity and others that followed with incredible courage and self determination. In 1995 she moved with her three children to Revelstoke B.C. to be closer to her parents and family, yet continued with her strong will, stubbornness and independence raising her young family.
Nancy had the incredible gift of adapting with her situation, gaining love, respect and admiration from all who knew who her. Nancy is fondly remembered for her quick wit, joking ways and laughter, always a joy to be around.

She was predeceased by her father, John in 2002 and mother, Peggy in 2010.
