John M. Jackson, of Auburndale FL and formerly of Epping NH, died June 14, 2005, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of peritonitis at age 73. Born in Exeter NH on July 11, 1931, he came to this area in 1987 from Ludlow MA. He was the Maintenance Supervisor of Lincoln Apartments in Lakeland FL for 6 years, attended Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven FL, and was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He was also past Commander of the Epping American Legion.

He was predeceased by his step-son Robert Jackson, brother Kenneth Jackson, and sister Bernice Almon.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Jean Jackson of Auburndale FL; son James Jackson of Concord NH; daughters Joanne Tassinari of Granby MA, and Sandra Colby, Debra Parenteau, and Wanda Audit, all of Concord NH; step-sons Alan Gramsby of Ware MA and Larry Gamsby of Palmer MA; step-daughters Virginia Reynolds of Longmeadow MA and Joyce Kessling of Sarasota FL; sisters Doris Underwood of Exeter NH, Ruth Coffin of Sanford FL, and Carol Currier of Deerfield NH; brother Phillip "Ted" Jackson of Northwood NH; adopted children Susan Hooper and James Hooper, both of Auburndale FL; 20 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
