Ruby Harriette Ragsdale Moore, 85, Drexel, MO, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Golden Years Nursing Home in Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Runyan Funeral Home in Drexel. Ruby was born June 21, 1918 near South Greenfield, Mo, the daughter of John Franklin & Zulah Louisa Preston Ragsdale. She graduated from Golden City High School in Golden City, Mo, in 1937. In 1941, she moved with her family to a farm Southwest of Harrisonville. She married Charley Thomas Moore Dec. 24, 1942 in Harrisonville, MO. To them four children were born. They lived in the Harrisonville and Freeman areas before moving to Drexel MO in 1957. She worked at King Radio in Olathe, KS, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Drexel United Methodist Church. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Charley, on Oct. 25, 1992; her parents; her brother, Lynn Ragsdale; her twin brother Rufus Ragsdale; her sister, Josephine Crosier; and two great-granddaughters, Victoria Litle and Anna Williams. She is survived by two daughters, Connie Williams and her husband, Doug of Wright WY, and Charlene Varns and her husband, Wayne of Drexel, MO; two sons, Randy Moore and his wife, Roseann of Louisburg, KS, and Dannie Moore, of Raymore, MO; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Donnelly, Robin Beckman, Melinda Merchen, Nathan Williams, Reggie Claflin, Curtis Varns, Ryan Varns, Kendra Varns, Nicholas Moore, Christopher Moore, and Joshua Moore; three stepgrandchildren, Thomas McCreedy, Debbie Urbaczeuski, and Kathy Milhauser; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Ragsdale of Harrisonville, MO, and Anna Lee Moore of LaCygne, KS.
