Stacy Roy Wheeler, 60 of Ludowici, Ga. died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 after an extended illness.
The Long County, Ga. native was a former employee of Union Camp, supervisor of grounds keeping of Liberty County Board of Education, and an avid fisherman. He was predeceased by his brother, Herbert Wheeler and his parents, Leland and Marjorie Wheeler.
Survivors are 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Michalyn and Patrick Nowacki of Spokane, Wash., Carla and Jason Hibbs of Spokane, Wash.; 4 brothers, Keith Wheeler and Donald Wheeler of Ludowici, Ga., Alvin Wheeler of Atlanta, Ga., Herman Wheeler of Sunbury, Ga.; 4 grandchildren, Caitlyn and Casey Nowacki, Austin and Autumn Hibbs; two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Elim Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Long officiating. Interment will be in the Elim Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Murray, Parker Dunham, Jerry Strickland, Leo Barrett, John Wheeler and Mike Pattie.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
