David W. Graham, 66, of Kimball, died at his home in Kimball on Monday, September 28, 2009. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Kimball with Reverend Mel Daves officiating. Burial will be held in the Kimball Cemetery. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Memorials have been established to the family. Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
David Warren Graham was born in Sidney, NE on October 8, 1942, the son of Donald and Leona (Jensen) Graham. He attended Sidney and Kimball Schools and graduated from the Kimball County High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Rose Petersen in Dix, Nebraska on June 16, 1963. To this union Jeffery David, Jennifer Marie and Kimberly Kaye were born. David worked in the oil fields and oil supply companies in Nebraska and Wyoming for many years. He also worked as an assessor for Natrona County in Casper, WY for a number of years. He returned to Kimball and worked for Wolff Automotive and Co-op Food Store. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, bowling, keno and socializing with friend at the local bars. His faith and church family were very important to him. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughters Jennifer Vaughan of Rapid City, SD., and Kimberly (Aaron) Gotfrey of Dix, NE; sisters Gloria Rutledge Arrington of Ft. Collins, CO., Sonia (Steve) Koester of Clarksville, TN and Jolene (Alex) Flores of Windsor, CO; grandchildren Lindsey Leigh Vaughan, Levi Alan Vaughan, Zacary Loren Gotfrey and Mikayla Rose Scheurer; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, wife, son Jeffery David and granddaughter Brittany Rose.
