Last Rites Held For Mrs. Hempel

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Louise Hempel, 36, who died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. were held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the First Evangelical Lutheran church, with the Rev. William Loeske officiating.

Interment was in the City cemetery, with Seydler Funeral Home in charge of arragements.

Pallbearers were Charles Brodt, Ernest Hendershot, John Haschke, Jr., Louise Schautteet, A. P. Breitschopf, and Firmin LePori.

Mrs. Hempel was born on Feb. 9, 1912, in Fayette County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Medack, and was married to Arnold Hempel on Nov. 29, 1928. Before coming to the Clark community, where she had been living for four years, she had resided at La Grange and Smiley.

Surviving, besides her husband and parents, are four daughters, Evelyn, Alice, Edith and Lola Jean; four sons, Curtis, Franklin, Howard, and Loyd; six brothers, Herbert Medack of La Grange, Paul and Ben Medack of Giddings; Alvin Domaschk of Ledbetter, Texas, Martin Domaschk of Gidding and Charles Domaschk of Port Lavaca; six sisters, Mrs. Vastin Schellberg and Mrs. Agust Hempel of La Grange, R. Sherrod of Dallas, Mrs. Selma Koehler of Hondo, and Mrs. Emma Shier of Cisco, Mrs. A. Schnell of Port Arthur.
