John C. "Jack" Bahan

John "Jack" Bahan 1934 -2008 BENNINGTON Mr. John C. "Jack" Bahan, 73, more recently of Marborough, Mass., died Wednesday Sept. 17, at the Marborough Hills Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born in Bennington, Vt. Oct. 24, 1934. He was the son of Carlton C. and Anna Brown Bahan. He received his education in Bennington and was a 1952 graduate of Bennington High School. Jack was a self employed carpenter and had also worked for various constructions companies in the area. He was a life member of the Bennington Moose Lodge where he had served as governor. He enjoyed hunting and flying airplanes. He leaves his daughter Priscilla Crawford of Bennington; two grandchildren, Michael Crawford and his wife, Kristy, of Bennington and Kelli Morin, and her husband, Jeff, of Bennington; six great grandchildren; two brothers Robert L. Bahan and his wife Virginia of Kansas City, Missouri and Kenneth J. Bahan and his wife Rosalie of Grain Valley, Miss. A sister Anne M. Bahan of Kingston, N.Y. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service with military honors will be held at the family lot at White Chapel Cemetery on Tuesday Sept. 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. If friends desire contributions in memory of John C. "Jack" Bahan may be made to the Vermont Chapter of the American Cancer Society through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201 .
