He was born December 9, 1922 in New York, New York to the late John C. and Anna May Bremen. Edward was a retired installer for Bell Telephone and AT&T. He moved to Port Charlotte in 2000 from Spring Hill, Florida. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" F. Bremen of Port Charlotte; two sons, Edward H. (Jean) Bremen, Jr. of Newtown, CT and Richard J. (Tracy) Bremen of Loveland, CO; two step-daughters, Lorraine Goucher of Port Charlotte, FL and Barbara Greig of Englewood, FL; a brother, Frederick A. (Gerry) Bremen of Palm Bay, FL. 5 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doreen G. Bremen who died in 1998.
Visitation will be held Thursday 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM, April 12, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel with a funeral service at 6:30 PM. Interment and military honors by a U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard will be held Friday 2:00 PM, April 13, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
