Henry O. Housley was born on August 11, 1923 at Bear Creek, Arkansas to Benton and Della (Hefner) Housley. He departed this life on April 09, 2012 at the age of 88 years.

Henry was a lifetime farmer and was very involved in all community and county activities. Throughout the years he served on the Leslie School Board; the Van Buren County Farm Bureau Board of Directors; Van Buren County Agriculture Soil Conservation Board; Chimes Volunteer Fire Department Board; and was an active member of the Arkansas Cattleman's Association. A true servant of the Lord, Henry was a deacon and active member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and served in many capacities of the church. Henry served his county proudly in the United States Army during WWII, spending time in Okinawa.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three wives, Floella Drewry, Jolene Adams and Dovie Hinchey; one daughter, Madonna; and two brothers, OB and Elgin.

Survivors include one son, Larry Housley and wife Margaret of Chimes; one daughter, Vicky McClung and husband Danny of Springdale; three brothers, Jason Housley and wife Nora Jean, Dean Housley and wife Pat, both of Chimes and Gene Housley and wife Ginger of Conway; five grandchildren, Darlene and Larry Griffin, Larry Anthony and Susan Housley, Kevin and Alicia Housley, all of Chimes, Lance and Tracie McClung of Rogers and Leslie and Andy Daniels of Fayetteville; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and relatives.

Services for Henry O. Housley will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Dean Housley and Bro. Jamon Lee officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Roller-Coffman. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Chimes.

Pallbearers will be Larry Anthony Housley, Kevin Housley, Lance McClung, Larry Griffin, Andy Daniels, Josh Griffin, Kody Griffin, Seth Griffin, Henry Housley and James Housley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cort Bagley, Garrett Bagley, Ronnie Housley, Jacky Housley, Randall Housley, Jeff Housley, Greg Housley, Chip Housley, Phil Housley, Joel Housley, Danny West and Johnny Hinchey.

At the families request memorials may be made to the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 2712 Hwy 254 W., Leslie, Arkansas, 72645.
