ANDOVER — After the long wait to be reunited with her best friend, her mother, Sarah J. Frost, age 69, of Andover, Ohio, formerly of Conneaut, died Sunday evening, April 8, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center in Andover. Born Dec. 1, 1942, in Conneaut, Ohio, she was the daughter of Sheldon and Hazel (Codding) Carlson.
An Andover resident since 2001, she had been employed at Emco-Wheaton for 21 years and at G.E. Base Plant for 12 years. She enjoyed camping, going to flea markets and yard sales, music and dancing. She was known for her cabbage rolls, and enjoyed fish fries. She enjoyed life, spending time with family and friends; family gatherings at holidays; and adored her beloved Boston terrier "Zoey".
Survivors include her husband, James A. Frost, whom she married Nov. 26, 1983; three daughters, Debbie Joslin of Andover, Lorrie (Charles) Duncan of Conneaut and Tammy Nine (Brian Rice) of Jefferson, Ohio; a step-son, James (Missie) Frost of Heath, Ohio; grandchildren, Tiffany Joslin (John Blare), Shannon Kiser, Michael Kiser, Rick Kiser, Jessica Kiser and step-grandson, Tyler Frost; great-grandchildren, Shane Spencer, Shawn Church, Sarah Kiser, Markie Kiser, Alexis Kiser and Shila Kiser; three brothers, Bill (Vonna) Carlson of Monroe Township, Ohio, Bob (Nancy) Carlson of Andover and Dick (Shirley) Carlson of Monroe Township; and several nieces, nephews and more distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-granddaughter, Autumn Frost. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 12th, at THE MARCY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with Linda Thompson leading the service. Burial will be in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township. Following the Graveside Service, a luncheon will be held at the MARCY FAMILY CENTER, 180 Harbor St., Conneaut. Calling Hours will be at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 11th, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the DaVita Dialysis Center of Andover, Ohio. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
