Mrs. Corrie Simpson Bradshaw, 91, of 373 Piedmont Avenue, died Friday, Oct. 18, in the local hospital. Mrs. Bradshaw was born in Polk County on August 8, 1894, and was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Mary Davis Simpson. She was a piano instructor and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Rockmart. She is surived by her daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise Lineberger, Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Annie Clyde Simpson Russell of Rockmart; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Rainwater, The Rev. Charles Bennett, the Rev. Carl Robinson, the Rev. Keith Alderman and the Rev. Hazel Thompson officiated and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Billy Thomas, Homer Hayes, Roy Smith, Horace Wilson, James Wilson and C. W. Lewis. The honorary pallbearers were Charles Dyer and Hoyt Lewis. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (The Rockmart Journal, October 23, 1985)
