Patricia "Patty" Jo Horton, age 67, of Panola, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 25th 2023, with family by her side. Patty was born in Kansas, June 25, 1956. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Linn and Lonesa Horton, stepmother Sandra Horton, brother Michael Horton, and infant sister Melody Merl Horton. She was particularly close to her Aunt Jean and Uncle Ray Horton of Bethany, Louisiana, both deceased.
Patty was a long-time resident of Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, where she gained valuable skills and experience. The highlight of her time there was competing in the International Special Olympics. Patty was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and could be counted on to support her team against all challengers. Patty was an avid pet lover, delighting in her sisters' menagerie of cats and dogs. She enjoyed old movies and sitcoms, and was known to quote lines from her favorites. A country music fan, Patty once met Glen Campbell and always sang along with George and Reba.
As a woman with special needs, Patty lived a full and productive life, sharing love and laughter with her family and finding enjoyment in many hobbies and interests.
