LUMBART,BENJAMIN. Captain, 3rd Barnstable Co.,Col., Joseph Otis's (1st Barnstable Co.) regt.; list of officers returned as sworn by officers appointed for that purpose,
dated Sept. 29, 1775; said Lumbart reported as having refused to accept his commission.

Died in Revolutionary War guarding Hyannis Port under Col. Nathaniel Freeman.

Children: Martha 1754-1803; Joseph 1755-1783; Pvt. Benjamin 1757-1822 (Revolutionary War Hero); Davis 1768-1820.

His parents were Samuel Lumbart and Mary Comer.
