MRS. ALICE M. HORD
DAYTON, April 29 - Funeral services for Mrs. Alice M. Hord, 84, who died in a Portland hospital last week as a result of a fall, were held April 24 with burial in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Dayton.
Mrs. Hord was born in New Haven, Ohio, February 22, 1864 and in 1879 she was married to Frank M. Hord. After residing in Kansas for several years they moved to Wallace, Ida. They moved to Oregon in 1905 and resided in Dayton for many years before moving to Portland. She had been an active member of the Congregational church, the Order of Eastern Star and the Naomi Rebekah lodge.
Surving are four sons, Roy of Union, Bert, Klamath Falls, Glen and Frank of Portland; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Mellinger of Tillamook; one sister, Mrs. Eva L. Baker of Dayton; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
