Wiley Crawford Bost was born on 17 Jul 1909 in Scotland, Van Buren County, Arkansas. He died on 17 Sep 1964 in Cottage Grove, Lane County, Oregon. He was buried in Lane Memorial Gardens, Eugene, Oregon. Wiley Crawford lived on his Mother's place and farmed it till it was sold back to the Forest Service in 1942. On 6 September 1943, along with Dale and Besse Reese, he moved to Tieton (Yakima Area ) Washington and worked in the Apple Packing plant .
In December 1943 Crawford and family went to Cottage Grove Oregon where Syble had a Brother Jesse. They made their home in and around Cottage Grove until his death 17 September 1964.
He worked in the woods as a tree faller until 1952 when he had a heart attack. After which he bought a Log Truck in 1953 and operated that till his death in 1964.
