Gerald A. Burns, 52, of Hellam RD 1 Dies
Hellam--Gerald A. Burns, husband of Mrs. Miriam I. Sterner Burns, was pronounced dead on arrival at West Side Osteopathic hospital Saturday at 12:40 a.m. He was 52.
Dr. Charles E. Schlage, deputy coroner, said death was caused by coronary occlusion, with which he was stricken at his home. He was removed to the hospital in the local ambualnce [sic].
Mr. Burns was employed in the shipping department of Masell corporation, York. He was a member of Fairmount EUB church and York Lodge 148, Loyal Order of Moose.
Surviving besides his wife are: One son, Patrick J. Burns, at home; a daughter, Mrs. John Kuhn, 146 Oakleigh drive; four grandchildren and a brother and sister, Robert and Madge Burns, both of Scranton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Etzweiler Funeral home, 1111 East Market street, York. His pastor, Rev. Lewis E. Kline, will officiate. Interment will be in Greenmount cemetery, York
