Born June 14, 1886, at Marionville, Mr. Pendleton moved to the Goodman area 50 years ago from Lexington, Missouri, He had owned and operated the Goodman Shoe Shop 18 years when he retired in 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Christine Mary Pendleton; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Perkis, Neosho; a stepson, Frank Hathaway, Maitland, Florida; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Porter, Boulder City, Nevada, Mrs. Audrey Shadwick, Goodman and Mrs, Barbara Francisco, Mrs. Carolyn DePriest and Mrs. Ina Giles , all of Joplin; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Burk, Vinita, Oklahoma; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
