The 17 other victims have their own individual memorials.

"The Dorothy Mae Apartment fire at 821 W. Sunset Blvd., is the deadliest residential fire in the history of Los Angeles. Nineteen people perished as the fire roared through the 50-year-old, three-story structure. Thirty-six other people were injured and within 10 days, six more died bringing the total to 25. The arson fire devastated what was literally an extended family since many of the victims were related to one another through blood or marriage. The night before the inferno, Humberto De La Torre, then 19, quarrelled with his uncle who was manager of the building. At 4:23 the following morning he threw a dollar's worth of gasoline on the floor of an apartment and then ignited it with a match. He was arrested the following December in Texas, pleaded guilty to 25 counts of murder and in 1985 was sentenced to 625 years in prison. On June 20, 1984, the Dorothy Mae Ordinance was passed which requires all pre-1943 buildings, three or more stories in height, to meet certain specified retroactive fire safety requirements. The 19 victims buried side-by-side are: from the Diaz family; Irma (8), Elba (7), Maria (11), Macrina (42), Patricio (unborn), Jose (46), and Jose, Jr. (9). From the De La Torre family; Martina (19), Tomasa (28), Lupe (1), Juan (9), Eduardo (7), Josefina (30), Gerardo (2), Rogelio (35), Maria Elia (6) and Maricela (19) and two members of the Valdes family; Javier (27) and Gloria (1)."
