OBITUARY:
RINER, VA - Issac Sherman Burke, 80, of Riner, formerly of Turkey Creek, Kentucky, died Wednesday at the Montgomery County Hospital in Blacksburg, VA following a lingering illness.

Born May 24, 1902 in Pike County, he was a son of the late William Albert and Alice Conley Burke.

He was a member of the Turkey Creek Regular Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Trula McCoy Burke; three daughters, Goldean Francis of Riner; Roberta Varney of Charlotte, NC and Delores Robinette of Floyd, VA; two sons, Leroy Burke of Roanoke, VA and Billy Ray Burke of Riner.

Additional survivors include two sisters, Stella Wells of Orlando, Fla. and Helen Price of Ft. Gay, WV; a brother Bertie Burke of Portsmouth, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am at the Turkey Creek Regular Baptist Church with the Elders Bobby Scott, Hobert Hamilton, Lewis Muncy and Willis Lowe officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy. The body will be taken to the church where friends may call after 5:30 pm today. There will be special services tonight at 7 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home at Belfry.
