Theresa M. Ferguson, 86, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Pikes Peak Hospice. She was born on October 8, 1925 in St. Paul, Kansas to Louis R. Grillot and Mary Blaes. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1956 where she raised her four children and was Director of Nursing at the Emory John Brady Hospital for more than 25 years. When she retired, she took on the role of friend, "life coach", and Grandma in her Kiowa street neighborhood. Everyone, even those who had moved from the neighborhood, looked forward to her annual block party that she hosted every summer. Theresa loved gardening, roses, the Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, Rockies, and her home. She was very proud to be a Registered Nurse. Even in her final days, she advocated for the nurses who cared for her. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Charles Grillot, of Colorado Springs and Eddie Grillot, of St. Paul, KS. She is survived by her children; Richard "Rick" (Kimberly) Ferguson, Stephen Ferguson, Deana (Peter) Camp, and Anne LaLone; and one grandchild, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
