Jessie Elder,daughter of William and Phoebe Burch was born in Marion County,Iowa. She married John Elder April 19,1883. She had 5 children. Forest,Lloyd and Glen passed away in early childhood. Blanche Crispin and Floyd Elder survive her. She moved to Oklahoma with her family in 1899 and has lived in Putnam and surrounding communitites until the time of her death. She had 10 grandchildren. She united with the Union Baptist Church in 1914 but after moving to Putnam,changed her membership to the Christian Church there and was a faithful worker until her health failed 2 years go.
