Rod is survived by his son, Stanton Charles Lowe, his daughter, Hannah Marie Lowe of Wichita, Kansas, his mother, Judith Ann Lowe of Butler, Missouri, and his brothers Randall Leon Lowe of Joplin, Missouri, Steven Wade and Marcia Lowe of Lee's Summit, Missouri, his sister Nicole and Ryan Redinger of Rich Hill, Missouri and many other family and friends.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wichita, Kansas.
He was employed by Pioneer Balloon Company of Wichita, Kansas as the Director of Employee Strategies.
He was a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp for four years active service and another nine years in the reserves. He was a dedicated Marine, an outstanding father, a beloved son, and an understanding brother. Most of all he was a worthy Christian. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established. Interment will be at the National Cemetery at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas on Wednesday afternoon, May 26, 2004. A memorial service will be held in Wichita, Kansas at First Baptist Church, 201 E. Second Street, Wichita, Kansas, at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004. Services by Broadway Mortuary.
