Russell L. Trush, 54, of Saginaw died unexpectedly Friday, May 5, 2000, in Canada while fishing with his friends. He was born in Beloit, Wis., on Sept. 7, 1945, to Russell M. and Leda (VanEgmond) Trush.

He graduated from University of Wyoming in 1967. Russell married Jeanne Schmunk on Dec. 16, 1967, in Peoria, Ill. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a naval officer engineer.

During his life, Russell was affiliated with Caterpillar in Peoria, Ill., Nagle-Hart in Madison and Zieglar, Sweeney Brothers and Glacier Paving in Duluth. From 1988 until his retirement in 1998, he owned and operated Saginaw Construction Inc. He attended St. Raphael's Catholic Church and was a member of Nichols Lake Association Board and the Elks Club. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; daughters: Kelly (Ben) Nash, and Heidi Trush; son, Justin; and his extended family in Clinton, Wis.

Burial in Northland Cemetery, Canyon.
