C. T. Boden, Hyndman, Electrocuted

A Hyndman man was electrocuted yesterday afternoon when a television antenna he was placing on the roof of his home touched a high tension line over the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad tracks. A friend helping him sustained burns of the hands and feet.

The victim was Charles Theodore Boden, 50, who resided along the railroad tracks in Hyndman. Roland Roberts, 44, of Glen Burnie, who was assisting him with the antenna, was treated and released at Memorial Hospital about 3 p.m. yesterday.

Mr. Boden was a native of Hyndman. Born May 4, 1918, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Minnie (Barthalow) Boden.

An Air Force veteran of World War II, he was a member of Oscar Jordan VFW Post 7375, and the Hyndman Volunteer Fire Company. He was employed as a machinist at Grace's Body Works in Hyndman.

Surviving are his widow, Frances (Miller) Boden; two children, Timothy Frank Boden, at home; Mrs. Sharon Lee Andrews, Beaumont, Texas; two stepchildren, Barbara Ann and John Arthur Roberts at home and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Grace, Hyndman.

The body is at the Ziegler Funeral Home in Hyndman where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.

A service will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. George C. Bittner will officiate. Interment will be in Hyndman Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Bedford Honor Guard and members of Oscar Jordan Post.
