After he met Dorothy, they corresponded for
two years before they married September 8th
in 1941. They were then stationed at Corpus
Christi Naval Air Station from 1941 to 1945.
Alfred saw various places during his time in
the service, including: Guam, Hawaii, Phila-
delphia ,Jacksonville (Florida), and Pensacola
(Florida). He eventually served over 40 years

Funeral services were held May 22nd at St
Johns United Methodist Church. Graveside
services were the next day in the Forest Park
Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
