Said to have been born "near Brookville." Brookville was platted in 1808 and was in Dearborn County until Franklin County was created in 1811. When Union County was created in 1821, the Hanna family land near Fairfield then fell in the new Union County and was in the area later flooded to create the Brookville Reservoir. Following the Find A Grave custom of listing locations under their current counties/states rather than what they were at the time, his place of birth is listed here as Union County. [Brookville itself (south of the Hanna land) is on F.A.G.'s pull-down menu for Franklin Co.] [Thanks to Tom DeShong for his help with this memorial.]

NOTE: "History of Brookville Reservoir. Brookville Lake is a federal project which was created as a reservoir to control flooding in the Whitewater Valley and to control floods into the Ohio River. Construction began in 1965 and the reservoir began operating in 1974 and is managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. It took years to acquire the necessary 11,000 acres in the area and many local residents had to relocate. One entire town, Fairfield, Indiana, was destroyed with the construction of the dam and reservoir. . . . The Town of Fairfield is missed by many, but its history remains. Since its beginning, it is estimated that Brookville Lake has prevented over $24 million in flood damages and provided more than $367 million in tourism."

Albert was a member of Indiana State House of Representatives, 1836-37, 1846-47, 1851-52. Said to have been a physician -- can anyone confirm?
