Cedar Crossing Community, GA - Mr. Charles Leavern Morris, age 64 of Cedar Crossing, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Carl Vinson Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Dublin after an extended illness. He was a native of Vidalia and a 1965 Graduate of Vidalia High School. He was employed at Oxford Industries in Vidalia thirty-eight years and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the Uvalda Church of God and was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Clara Mae Hester Morris.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Judy Morris of Cedar Crossing; two children, Christen "Christy" Ellease Morris of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Matthew Ronald Morris of Cedar Crossing; three sisters, Murline Willis and Mattie Mae Barwick and husband Neubern all Vidalia, and Rita Spivey of Santa Claus; one brother, Delmas Morris of LaFayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 9th at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Irvin Poole, Reverend Henry Dowd and Reverend Jeremy DeLoach officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Crossing Church of God Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
