Lucy Chaplin was born in 1750 in Rowley, MA, the daughter of Ebenezer and Rebecca Chaplin. Lucy came to Rindge, NH with her father and siblings in 1769. She married, November 23, 1769, Jeremiah Norcross, the son of Jeremiah and Faith (Page) Norcross. Jeremiah and Lucy settled in Rindge on the farm that was of their family for several generations. Jeremiah and Lucy had seven children. In 1811, the spotted fever outbreak took the lives of her son Jeremiah Jr, and her husband Jeremiah. Lucy survived his widow until January 5, 1841, she died, aged 91 years.
