Born November 5th,1925 to Margaret and Marriner Nielsen in Providence, Utah. Lois left us peacefully April 5th lying next to the love of her life. A graduate of South Cache High, she was well known for her lovely smile and contagious laugh. Fell for a sailor, Bart Crook, whom she married on December 15, 1944.
They built a beautiful family together: a daughter Kathleen (Gary) Takenaka and son Russell (Cheryl) Crook, and four grandchildren R. Josh (Michelle) Player, Ryan (Sally) Crook, Elizabeth Player, and Natalee (Calen) Carter. Great-grandchildren followed: Sawyer Rain Player, Amelia Dutch Player, Wyatt Arce Crook, and baby boy Carter.
We will miss our sweet, honest, sassy, tough, no-nonsense, feisty Nana. Her friends and traveling companions in the VMCCA will miss her greatly as well.
Our Nana had a hard time saying goodbye, and we are having a hard time saying goodbye to her.
Join us in celebrating her life at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E 10600 S. in Sandy on Monday, April 9, 2012 with a viewing at 12:30, Service at 2:00.
