Caution/Note: The Aspen Grove cemetery listing has the DOD for David H. Despain/DeSpain as October 4, 1925. Using the information dates in his October 6, 1925 obituary, it would appear that his death took place on October 2, 1925 instead (which would be a Friday). Will use that October 2, 1925 DOD for this memorial with that caution. Any clarification would be appreciated.

Note: The clerk at the Aspen Grove cemetery office has generously made a listing of DeSpain/Despain burials for this contributor, providing the official burial plot locatiions. Some Des Moines county genealogy sources compiled cemetery listings that, well, took liberties with the official plot locations. What is used for a plot location on this memorial is from the official Aspen Grove cemetery records.
