JOHN SCOTT
LONACONING—John Scott, 75, husband of Mrs. Mary (McIntyre)Scott, died yesterday at his home. Mr. Scott, a son of the late John and Jean (MacMillen) Scott, was employed at the Western Maryland Railway freight office in Cumberland. He was a past master of George's Creek Valley Lodge 161, AF and AM. and held a 50-year membership in the lodge. He was also a high priest of Garfield Arch Chapter 26, AF and AM and a member of the Lonaconing Presbyterian Church. Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Maurer, McKeesport, Pa.; Mrs. Leslie L. Henry, Lonaconing, and Mrs. Charles Trader, Pocomoke City; a son, Allan Scott, McKeesport; five brothers, Adam Scott, Frederickburg, Va ; Harrison Scott, of Ohio; Alexander Scott, Lonaconing; Hugh Scott, Knoxville, Tenn., and William Scott, Richmond, and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Smith and Mrs. Anna Hohing, both of Lonaconing. The body will be taken to the First Presbyterian Church tomorrow at noon for a 2 p.m, service. Rev Chalmaers H. Goshorn, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Georges Creek Valley Lodge 161, AF and AM will conduct a graveside service.
