"Frances M. Boothe, daughter of James and Frances Clardy, was born March 13th, 1821, and was married to J. B. Boothe, on the 28th of October 1838, and died March 30th, 1854. She remembered her Creator in the days of her youth, and gave her young and tender heart to God when about 12 years old, and joined the M. E. Church, in which she lived an acceptable member until God invited her to come up higher. During her affliction it was my privilege to visit her, and converse with her on the subject of religion. She gave me, and all others who conversed with her upon that subject, satisfactory evidence of her acceptance with God. In the triumphs of faith she died, and passed away to the home of the just, leaving an affectionate husband, several children, and many relations to mourn her absence.
