Moses Hale was born in 1702 or 1703 in Newbury, MA, the son of Capt. Thomas and Sarah (Northend) Hale. He married, December 4, 1727, Elizabeth Wheeler, the daughter of Jethro and Hannah (French) Wheeler. He resided in Rowley, MA for many years where several of his children were born. He moved from Rowley to Hampstead, NH about 1740. He was town treasurer there in 1750, and selectman in 1752 and 1753. In 1760, with his wife, six children and two grand children, He moved to Rindge, NH. Moses died June 19, 1762 aged 59 years.
