She was a daughter to Dominic and Teresa (D'Anna Caruso) Giovinazzo. On Oct 25, 1947, she married George P. Adams, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters: Nancy (Robert) Kerr, Cincinnati and Linda Leist, Lima; a brother, Michael (Nora), Bluffton, a sister-in-law, Suzanne Adam, Lima; three grandchildren: Loretta (Ryan) Good, Toni (Jason Herbort) Kerr and Kevin (Cori) Kerr; one great-grandchild, Nathan Kerr; and her livelong best friend, Dorothy Jarvis, Lima.
Deceased are three brothers: Frank, Jim and Nick; two sisters: Teresa Swarner and an infant, Girolama.
She graduated from St. Rose School in 1943 and worked at the Lima Tank Depot as a Bondo girl, sealing the inside of tanks. She was a waitress at many local restaurants, including the Susie Q and the Kewpee. She retired from Lima Memorial Hospital after 14 years as a cook. She was known for her love of cooking and great Italian meatballs, making thousands for friends over the course of her life. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society, V.F.W. Post 1275 Ladies Auxiliary, C.I.A.O., N.A.R.F.E. She enjoyed bingo, Big Band dances at Lincoln Park and watching sports, especially the O.S.U. Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Rose Catholic Church, with Fr. David Ross officiating.
