"SCHENEVUS - Following a second stroke in six months, Mrs. Jennie (Eckerson) Miller, wife of James Miller, passed away at her home on Monitor street shortly after noon Sunday. Mrs. Miller had been sitting in front of her home Saturday afternoon and shortly after going indoors she was stricken and never regained consciousness. Her first stroke, October 3d, was also severe and she was under the cate of trained nurses for several months ... Burial was made in Schenevus cemetery. Jennie Eckerson was born in Schoharie, November 27, 1875, the second of six children of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Eckerson. She was married to James Miller, September 26, 1895. Before coming to Schenevus, twenty-four years ago, the family resided at Central Bridge and Delanson. Besides the husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Lowe of this village and Mrs. Edgar Chase of Oneonta; four grandchilren, Alberta Lowe, Jennie, James and Esther Chase; four sisters and a brother, Mrs. Mary Caprio, Livonia; Mrs. Mille Schworm, Schenectady; Mrs. Perry Miller, Schenevus; Mrs. Elsie Greenleaf and Ellsworth Eckerson, New York City."
