Ella Bernice Harper Thomas, born October 14, 1934 went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 5, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas, parents Roy and Jettie Harper, brother, Howard Harper and sister, Geineva Wise.
Those left to cherish her memory include 2 sons Michael Thomas of Baton Rouge and Mickey Thomas and wife Julie of Concord, NC. 2 daughters Cindy Varnell and husband Mike of Winnfield, LA and Susan Etheridge and husband Thomas of Lafayette, LA, 8 grandchildren, Chip Thomas, Josh Thomas, Kayla Drye, Neil Etheridge, Eric Etheridge, Steven Varnell, Tara Varnell and Morgan Etheridge, 11 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cole, Justin, Bailey, Christopher, Madison, Travis, Hayden, Jaxson, Eric Paul Jr., and Sawyer.
To a special family, Cissy and Dub Parker, you were like her children, she loved you dearly.
She loved her family and friends unconditionally. Most of all she loved the Lord, above and before anything. She loved her church family, and her Sunday School class, Rebecca was a blessing to her. Special thanks to Coach Carter and Nancy McLauren, she loved you so much.

Friends may visit with the family at Southern Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again at Laurel Heights Baptist Church on Sunday, April 8, 2012 from 1:00 PM until time of services.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday at the Laurel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Wallace Ingles officiating. Interment will follow in the Double Church Cemetery.
