DARLINGTON, Wis. -- June D. Harwick, 88, of Lafayette Manor, Darlington, formerly of Shullsburg and Scales Mound, Ill., died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at Lafayette Manor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Scales Mound, with the Rev. Chris Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Scales Mound Township Cemetery, Scales Mound. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Scales Mound. Friends also may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

She was born on June 21, 1920, in Guilford Township, Jo Daviess County, daughter of Percy and Viola (Bausman) Davis. She married Harold Henry Harwick on Sept. 14, 1938, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dubuque. They celebrated 56 years together until Harold's death on April 1, 1995.

June lived in Scales Mound most of her life. She moved to Shullsburg on Aug. 2, 2002, and then moved to Lafayette Manor in March of 2007.

June and Harold were blessed with five children, Geraldine (William) McCauley, of Cuba City, Phyllis (Dick) Morrissey, twins, Donald Harwick and Dorothy (Gary) Curran, all of Shullsburg, and James (JoAnn) Harwick, of Benton; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Steve Morrissey and Mark Ubersox; daughter-in-law, Darlene Harwick; a brother, Stanley Davis; a stepgrandson, Butch Dole; and her stepfather, Herbert Hickman.
