Services for Mrs. Linda Jane Altom, 88 years of age, were conducted from Sand Ridge Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Elmo Blakney and George E. Bolen of Lexington. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Altom died early Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Effie Brown of near Broadway. She had been ill a short time.
Mrs. Altom was the widow of the late S.J. Altom who died six years ago. She was a member of the Sand Ridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Altom is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Brown, two sons, W. Garner of Jackson and Ken Garner of MO; 21 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
