AGED RESIDENT CALLED BEYOND

Rhoda Ellen Waymire, an aged and well known citizen of Delawrare county, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Harless, 1224 North Walnut street, Muncie, Friday afternoon about 4:30 o'clock after an extended illness. The deceased was 71 years of age and the widow of the late James Morgan Waymire. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harless, and four sons, Jacob, of Terre Haute, and William, Albert and James Waymire, of Muncie. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in the Riverside U.B. church by Rev. Walter Gibson. Interment will be made in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Rhoda married James W. Waymire in 1857 in Madison County, Indiana and, together, they had seven children. In the 1880 census, they were living in Monroe, Madison County, along with six children, Their sixth child (Eliza Jane) had already died as a young child. The family next moved to Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana where Rhoda's husband, James, died in June 1882.
