Died at the home of her son, Jim Elkins, on last Wednesday Mrs. Floyd Elkins passed away after a long illness due to old age. Mrs. Elkins was the wife of Floyd Elkins who preceded her in death several years ago. Surviving ones are: Jim and Bert Elkins, Mrs. Minnie Fry of Harris, and Mrs. Tobe Anglin of Beach Springs, a number of grandchildren and relatives. Heartfelt sympathy is extended by a host of friends to the sorrowing ones. The funeral and interment were held at Gilgal church and cemetery on Thursday afternoon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Floyd Elkins, 86 years old, who died Wednesday in the home of her son J.O. Elkins, of Harris, were held at Gilgal Baptist church Thursday evening, by the Rev. Loy New of Homer oil field, with interment in the Gilgal cemetery. Those of the immediate family surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tobe Anglin of Minden, and Mrs. Minnie Frye of Harris; two sons, Bert and Jim Elkins of Harris.
