He lost Agnes on September 9, 1927. Three and a half years later he married Helen Duggan Owen, born c. 1884 in Sisseton, Roberts, SD on April 21, 1932, she died March 4, 1954. His occupation was listed on a census as 'harness maker'. He was 6 months short of 100 when he died at 99 years of age.
